| Mission Statement |
| “Sacred Heart School is where we learn to love, learn to succeed, learn to serve, and learn to live for tomorrow by following Jesus today.” |
|
| School Philosophy |
| We believe that we are called to nurture and educate our students spiritually, academically, physically, and culturally. We are called to promote our Catholic faith by providing opportunities that will foster the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to live a successful Christ-centered life. We foster life long learning while respecting the richness of the past, meeting the challenges of the present, and in preparation for a better future. |
|
| The Goals of Sacred Heart School |
| In order to assist the Church in accomplishing her mission of developing committed Christians, Sacred Heart School strives to accomplish the following goals: |
- To create an environment where each person is respected as a person made in the image and likeness of God
- To be an example of a Christian educational community where human knowledge, enlightened by faith, is shared by teachers, students and parents in a spirit of freedom and love
- To offer personal experiences in Christian living through liturgy, sacramental life, prayer, guidance, and commitment to Catholic values
- To provide knowledge, opportunities, and experiences which instill a sense of responsibility to the community through fellowship of Christian living, service, and active citizenship
- To help each student develop a positive self-image and a positive attitude toward life-long education; through a balanced curriculum to empower the students to think critically and to reason independently
- To foster a Christian understanding and acceptance of different cultures
- To promote physical fitness and encourage habits which build and maintain good health that discourage the use of drugs.

|
| The Objectives of Sacred Heart School |
| The Administrators, Pastors, and Faculty will build the Catholic school community by: |
- Having a deep respect and concern for all members of the community: students, colleagues and parents with a climate that is cooperative, not competitive.
- Realizing keenly their responsibility to witness, by word and example, to the loving service, which reflects the spirit of Christ.
- Sharing their gifts of time, talent, energy, love and prayer with members of the faith community.
- Maintaining open and continual communication between the school community and the larger communities of church and civil parishes.
- Leading the students to an experience of community, developing in them awareness of what community means, and of how each member contributes to its building.
- Leading students to the experience of communal prayer, involving them in planning and participating in parish and school sponsored liturgies.
- Developing programs for students to serve larger communities and excel .
- Encouraging the organized participation of students in traditional activities of the faith which preserves the Catholic heritage for future generations.
